Stripe
The simplest and quickest way to take card payments through your online shop is to use Stripe.
To apply for your Stripe account click on "payment settings" in the control panel, then on the "select provider" button and finally the "connect with Stripe" button. Complete the Stripe application form and within minutes you will be taking card payments online.
Sage Pay
If you don't want to use Stripe and instead prefer to take your payments through a merchant account with an aquiring UK Bank, then you will need to use Sage Pay as your payment gateway. The transaction types you need to apply for are authenticate, authorise, repeat and refund.
Important! - It is your responsibility to choose the most appropriate payment solution for your business. Transaction rates, minimum charges, set up fees, contract lock in and PCIDSS compliance charges do vary and there may be other factors.
Some features in Foodcommerce may be unavailable if you do not choose Stripe.

Taking payment on delivery
FoodCommerce allows you to take orders without payment however this is switched off by default. To take payments on delivery you first need to enable it globally in the "cash-on-delivery" tab and then individually on each delivery scheme where you will allow shoppers to do this.
