Generating delivery slots
Live delivery slots are generated from automatic rules set up against the delivery scheme. The process runs when the delivery slots list is requested either in the store front or the control panel. In order for this to happen the delivery scheme needs to be enabled and the "days in advance to generate slots" need to be set to a value other than zero.
When new live slots are generated a date marker is set in the database so the application knows how far it has got and not to run the process again that day.
Changes to the automatic rules will only affect new slots. If existing live slots need to be changed then this will need to be done manually.
